Job Description

You’ll assist in the delivery of our Christmas events and help create an enjoyable experience for everyone that visits. This role will predominately support our Enchanted Winter Walk which is an outdoor, evening event.

Salary: £12.75 per hour

Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 4th January 2026

Hours: 84 hours worked across the 7 week contract. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments.

Average of 12 hours a week but this will vary depending on business need. This will usually be 2 days a week, out of Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Evenings, weekends and bank holidays are required to support our Christmas events.

Start Date: w/c Monday 17th November

Reporting to our Experience & Visitor Programming Manager, you’ll work with a team of passionate and creative staff and volunteers at Quarry Bank.

This former cotton mill was built in 1784 and is one of Britain’s greatest industrial heritage sites. The busy estate hosts many schools’ programmes and events, which help bring Quarry Bank’s fascinating story to life. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an inspiring location and the team pride themselves on being dynamic, highly motivated and passionate people.

Working to deliver our Christmas events, you will ensure our visitors have a great visitor experience and make festive family memories. You will be predominantly supporting our outdoor, evening lights event - Enchanted Winter Walk.

Working with the team you'll create and deliver events and activities that bring our place to life for our visitors all year round. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property is clear and consistent.
