Programming Assistant
The contract is full time for a fixed term, and the annual salary is £24,863. Your working time will be 37.50 hours each week. The employer, National Trust, is a charity. We’re looking for a Programming Assistant to support Christmas at Croome, helping to bring the festive season to life.
As our Christmas at Croome Programming Assistant, you’ll play a key role in the smooth running of our immersive Rapturous Delight experience. You’ll play a pivotal supporting role in preparing for Christmas and act as Duty Manager during event hours, you’ll support our partners in ensuring everything runs safely, smoothly, and with plenty of seasonal sparkle.
You’ll assist in the delivery and development of a programme of activities and events. By doing so, you’ll help to create an enjoyable experience for everyone that visits and help them understand more about our place.
Salary: £24,862.50 per annum
Contract/duration: Fixed term contract until 11 January 2026
Hours/working pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. You'll be working evenings, with weekend work required.

Croome is a 730 acre estate, designed for the 6th Earl of Coventry in the C18th by the celebrated Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, who designed not only the landscape but Croome Court and other buildings too. We have landscape gardens, woodland and parkland as well as a mile and ¾ long ornamental river to care for. At Croome we ask our visitors to ‘expect the unexpected’, presenting the house and park in a new and exciting way.

Working with the team you'll create and deliver events and activities that bring our place to life for our visitors over the festive season. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do. You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property is clear and consistent.
