Community, Participation & Volunteering Co-ordinator
The contract is part time and permanent, and the hourly rate is £13.74. Your working time will be 30.00 hours each week. The employer, National Trust, is a charity. You will be based at Oxburgh Estate, which is an historic building or structure where the fabric and story of the building is the focus. It is located in Norfolk.

As our Community, Participation & Volunteer Co-Ordinator, you will champion the value of engagement, support the team to co-ordinate activities, and help grow and diversify opportunities so more people can get involved. This is a varied role that requires excellent organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving and strong relationship management skills.
Oxburgh is part of a larger portfolio of properties which includes Felbrigg and Peckover House & Garden. You'll report into the Property Operations Manager as part of the Operations team at Oxburgh and part of the wider team of 20+ members across Gardens, House and Commercial teams. Part of your role will be engaging with groups in our local community to develop partnerships and strong working relationships.The role will require regular weekend working and you'll be expected to carry out Duty Manager responsibilities as part of your role. As a duty manager, you'll be responsible on the day for the smooth running of the property during opening hours, acting as the main contact point for staff, volunteers, and customers in case of emergency, enquiry or complaint
You’ll support our community engagement and volunteering work, putting people at the centre of our plans. You’ll build strong partnerships, create inclusive volunteering opportunities, support and value our many volunteers, and encourage community‑led activities that help restore nature and increase access.
You’ll support colleagues, champion best practice, and ensure our systems and data are well managed. You’ll work to remove barriers to participation, ensuring underrepresented voices are heard and actively involved.
You'll look to build collaborations and partnerships within our community by creating and supporting opportunities for people to share time and skills, actively supporting community, partner led or independent activities.
