Welcome Manager (Band 2) /Rheolwr Croeso
The contract is full time and permanent, and the annual salary is £27,612. Your working time will be 37.50 hours each week. The employer, National Trust, is a charity. You will be based at Dyffryn Gardens, which is an estate, which could mean diversity in the role. Note some estates are far from public transport. It is located in Vale of Glamorgan.

We’re looking for someone with a gift for helping everyone to feel welcome to join us as a Welcome Manager at Dyffryn Gardens, leading our small but vital welcome team, and leading for fundraising across the property.
Weekend and some evening working required.

Dyffryn Gardens is a peaceful oasis on the outskirts of Cardiff, welcoming over 140,000 visitors a year, with year-round seasonal highlights across the 55 acre, Grade I listed gardens.
We’re a friendly team and we’re ambitious too, with ongoing conservation projects, both indoors and out.
You’ll lead and manage our team of welcome and service assistants and volunteers. You’ll be responsible for making sure that day-to-day operations run smoothly in the all-important welcome area. You’ll inspire and care for your team, encouraging them to give the highest standards of service and to help grow our charitable income.
You’ll support fundraising across the property, being responsible for stretching targets, working to maximise income including from membership recruitment, donations, and our Second-hand Bookshop. You'll inspire other teams across the property to support our fundraising aims.
You'll support the continual improvement of our visitor journey, responding to feedback from our visitors to ensure that everyone has their best possible day.
You'll act as duty manager for the whole site (on a rota basis), where you will be the main point of contact for staff, volunteers, and visitors in case of emergency.
